In 2004, Matha and the CWM women’s group began feeding people at a large church festival. The women brought all the cooking utensils, plates and cutlery from home and cooked at the festival site. This was such a great success that they raised a considerable amount of money with which they were able to purchase their first equipment. Continuously the project grew, so that in 2015 they were able to register a company. Today, 40 women work in the project and they are very well equipped. They even have their own truck to transport the food to the clients. The biggest and continuous job is to feed the staff of a company with 280 employees twice a day. Most of the women previously lived on the streets and have not only found a job here, but a new family. Matha, as the initiator and owner of the company premises, has created a great project here. For me, she is a hero!
